Agricultural Services Officer is responsible for providing assistance with coordinating and delivering agricultural programs in accordance with the Counties priorities.• Assist in the development and delivery of environmental educational programs.• Operate equipment and conduct herbicide application on roadsides and on land within the municipal boundaries to control invasive weeds; this will require the use of various equipment such as backpacks, RTV, and pickup trucks.• Prepare and conduct informational and educational workshops for municipal residents.• Monitor and track agricultural applications and/or programs. Work with the Agricultural Department GPS/GIS system and records management programs. Assist with the management of data, and weed inspection programs.• Conduct annual invasive plant inspections.• Maintain Agriculture Department equipment (sprayers, broadcast seeder, etc.)• Possession of a Pesticide Applicators Certificate.• Work with community based watershed groups • Ability to identify a wide range of invasive plants.• Ability to engage and present a variety of agricultural topics.• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.• Work independently in a multi-task environment.

Seasonal herbicide application. Responsible for daily spraying logs and work. Completed rotational spraying for roadsides and implemented a three year rotational spraying program for municipal reserves.
