Tower Blocks UK is an information and resource hub for people who live in, or are concerned about tower block safety.Tower Blocks UK undertakes research and campaigns and lobby government on housing policy with the aim of improving safety standards in multi-storey residential buildings and social housing estates. We collaborate with other professionals including industry experts, campaign groups, charities and organisations.In 2020 we launched FixMyBlock.org - a project created in partnership with civic tech charity;MySociety and funded by the Legal Education Foundation. FixMyBlock is an online resource and advice service which aims to offer legal insight, practical resources and a sense of collective power to tenants in order for them to tackle problems in their homes, the site particularly focuses on structural and fire safety concerns and disrepair issues.

I founded the Ledbury Action Group in 2017 in response to fire safety concerns raised on the Ledbury Estate in the wake of the Grenfell disaster. The Ledbury Action Group launched an emergency response in conjunction with more than 220 families living on the estate who were being decanted after their tower block homes were found at risk of progressive collapse. We have campaigned continuously since 2017 both locally and nationally and also directly with central government; lobbying for the protected rights of tenants and for social housing policy reform.

Rainbow Collective are a non profit film production company specialising in shooting and directing cinematic documentaries focusing on human and children’s rights issues around the world as well as teaching film and animation.My role involves: campaign co-ordination, PA & Secretarial duties, arranging film shoots, locations and fixers, arranging travel and accommodation, arranging and attending business meetings, basic accounting, writing up business proposals, correspondence and editing, arranging events including charity fundraisers, film premieres and screenings. Attending film festivals, assisting with film edits and subtitling, liaising with clients and NGO’s. I have also been involved in organising and supporting the facilitation of the Rainbow Collective animation club; a community youth training project based in South London,as well as working closely alongside partner charities such as War on Want and Amnesty International.I led our international charity campaign: ‘Raising For Rana’ – a global initiative to raise funds for the victims of the Rana Plaza garments factory disaster in Bangladesh. We held several central London events to launch the initiative and screened our attached documentary film ‘Tears In The Fabric’. The campaign continues to run globally as part of the ‘Fashion Revolution.’ Our campaign and media materials continue to be used at film festivals and screenings across the UK, USA and elsewhere.FilmsForFood was launched in 2014; an initiative which gives film lovers a chance to enjoy movies whilst also helping their local community and addressing important social issues. We organise and hold regular film screenings around London; including bike-pedal powered outdoor events. Instead of buying a ticket; attendees are asked to bring a bag of non perishable food to donate to the local food bank.

Temporary role, offering PA support to CFO and HR team.

Legal department – Planning within the frameworks of the ‘New Roads and Street works Act’. Ensuring contractors adhered to and understood the new legal standards and restrictions. The role involved liaising with local authorities and management bodies of various building projects to advise them of their duties and responsibilities whilst they oversee developments. I also undertook duties in the planning applications department; dealing with enquiries from private clients, local authorities and businesses with plans to build and advising them upon any legal restrictions and their statutory obligations.

Overseeing the day-to-day automated systems operation. Including collating online orders for foreign currency from banks and travel agencies, allocating the orders to the various departments and supervision of order from delegation to dispatch.Other duties involved attending twice daily update briefings with the Managing Director.
