Senior Nurse Auditor
Current• Serve as subject matter expert for Nurse Audit staff to answer questions and provide guidance on complex topics.• Coaching, mentoring, and training of new hires and existing Nurse Audit staff. • Perform monthly quality assurance checks on accounts worked by a designated team of associates, to include providing feedback and education as necessary.• Help with creating and maintaining tip sheets and SOPs on Revenue Integrity charging practices. • Organize and coordinate audit assignments as requested by management and/or the client. • Analyze and present audit findings in an organized and professional manner to the client in a timely manner. This includes manipulating data in excel, creating pivot tables, and identifying trends. • Communicate with client department leaders, physicians, nurses, and charge posters regarding trends and charging opportunities identified by the Nurse Audit team to maximize revenue and reimbursement. • Research billing and coding guidelines through CMS and government websites to maintain best practice standards in the current role. • Professional communication with Ensemble departments, e.g. Coding, Billing, Client Delivery, to ensure consistency and success for our clients. • Participate in weekly Leadership meetings with focuses on accountability, inventory, standards of practice updates, etc., to include leading and scribing within these meeting cadences.
