After working in retail for ten years expanding my knowledge of business development and product marketing, I launched Urban Pulse. An aromatherapy infused skincare and candle line specializing in the formulation of non-toxic products using essential oils and plant-based ingredients. Urban Pulse has been featured in publications like CBS, NBC & ABC. Our products are now sold worldwide both in small boutiques and larger retailers like REI.My passion for collaborating with the small business community paved the path for me to evolve into the owner of the Makers of Maryland where we provide support and opportunities to local small businesses. We link our local community of shoppers with handmade makers through pop-up shops, arts festivals, events, PR, and marketing campaigns. We also provide educational tools and meet-ups for businesses to network and learn from others in their industry.
