Apparently not everyone likes a problem, to most they are an irritant something to be rid of, to me they are a challenge or an opportunity for me to shine. I'm not talking here about your personal life problems (although as a mental health first aider I can help with those too!), I'm talking about business related problems. I am good at creating easy solutions, for identifying areas for Continuous Improvement, and finding shortcuts to get the same quality result.Problem solving allows my creativity and out of the box thinking to flow freely. I jumped on the opportunity to join the Lean Team in SLB, so I could offer my advice/support to my colleagues. Knowing a colleague has trusted me to assist them through their CI project and seeing the result is fantastic. My colleague is not the only one to benefit the business does too.My first introduction to CI was a Project for non-commercial shipping invoices. I remember my manager introducing me to Lean methods and invited me to collaborate on my first ever SharePoint project. This project saved the team over 15-man hours a week. This marked the beginning; from that point I approached every task I undertook with the LEAN process in mind. Not all problems are solved easily and on occasion it feels like I have hit a brick wall, but I do not give up easily and always finish the job. Back in August 2017 my late husband suddenly and unexpectedly died. The night of his death the GW Air Ambulance attended. I wanted to thank them so decided to fundraise for them. Firstly, I raised money in lieu of flowers. Then I decided I would tandem jump out of a plane at 18,000 foot. The fact that I am petrified of heights and flying did not dissuade me. No one believed I would complete the jump. This made me more determined. I completed the jump and it was the most amazing feeling; I had achieved the impossible facing two of my fears. I now feel pride and can honestly say I never back down from a challenge, and always get the job done!I'm not just Danielle the problem-solving superhero, I also like;• the pressure of Global/Domestic logistics, getting things right first time, ensuring full compliance, • the communication of Customer Services, especially the “Thank Yous” at the end of a job well done, the honesty and openness of having to admit you cannot fulfil the customer needs can be quite difficult, but inevitably increases trust.Specialist Skills: Office 365/SharePoint/Power Platform/SAP/Oracle/Customer Services/Logistics/Trade Compliance/Problem Solver/Continuous Improvement
