Responsible for taking emergency and non emergency calls for the largest non metropolitan police force in the UK. Working in a high pressure environment, dealing with time critical information. Assessing risk, vulnerability and opportunity to prioritise reports and allow officers to effectively attend incidents. Working alongside the Oprrational Duty Manager regularly, ensuring all incidents are correctly classified and supervising follow up information needed. Additional voluntary work done with SEROCU, Dog Unit, DAIU and CAIU to gain a better understanding of how the role affected and aided other departments. Training numerous new starters throughout their probationary period, assessing their skill set and evaluating whether they should proceed.
