Ukes for Schools is a non-profit organization which puts ukuleles into the hands of under-privilaged children in our local area. We accept donations, and work for donations, to buy Ukuleles and needed accessories. I am a teacher for this program, partnering with local teachers to form after-school Ukulele Clubs at various public schools. I have experience guiding Ukulele workshops and performances which promote our program and raise funds.

Teach beginning and intermediate ukulele technique, responsible for variable course structure each month, as well as consistent curriculum which repeats every month. I teach all ages, private students and class room setting. I use my own curriculum, compiled from personal experience, as well as published technique books by reputable authors.

Intensive study course in full body costume fabrication. Assisted the owner and crew in building several costumes in time for a parade at the WInter Olympics 2010 in Vancouver, Canada. Tasks included sewing, glueing and sculpting foam. Liquid Latex and acrylic paint were used to cover each creature, industrial strength spray adhesive machine in use as well. Creature costumes required precise pattern usage and assembly. Taken into account were mechanical movements and performance abilities, along with clean air ventilation and heat vents for performances.
