Have currently finished a course in Duel Diploma in Community Service and Counselling. I also worked at Berry Street and assisted the young youths with mentoring the young teenagers on how to cook and do their washing, how to clean the house and mentoring the young teens on the importance of attending their appointments.While I worked in Aged Care, I assisted people with their self- medication, provided in-home support with health issues and daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, eating, transport and budgeting, made sure that those in residential care are washed and dressed, fed and ready for educational and recreational activities, supervised all residential care clients during domestic activities, provide companionship and support during daily activities for those who are sick or aged, implemented appropriate strategies for managing problems related to dementia and worked with a team of health professionals, family, friends and carers to implement a program of support.When I worked in Children Services I gain knowledge to integrated children with special needs into the program, modifying the program and the physical environment if necessary, prepare play and learning materials and set up the children’s environment, supervised children’s play, making sure of their physical safety at all times, help children with daily routines such as toileting, dressing, eating and sleeping, guided children’s behaviors and social development, prepare light snacks and meals and making sure to maintained a safe, clean, appealing environment for the children and perform simple first aid in emergencies.
