I am a recent graduate of Champlain College where I earned my BS in Education. I am interested in a Teacher’s Assistant position in the Los Angeles Unified School District and believe that I would be an excellent candidate for this job.Within the last five years, I have been working under the title of a coach at APEX for Kids. Part of my job was to assist the owner to make sure classes ran smoothly. On the weekends I facilitated birthday parties and made sure that the parents of the party were happy and satisfied with the services that were provided. I would manage employees during the parties to make sure they were staying on task and completed all delegated tasks.During my time in college and on my summer vacations, I worked as a teacher’s assistant. As part of those responsibilities I prepared and implemented lesson plans for children ages 2-10 years old, as well as assisted the students with their work. I have knowledge about the Reggio Emilia and Montessori methods as well as experience with the Maker Movement. I also have experience working with students who have learning challenges.I would welcome the opportunity to meet in person to further discuss this opportunity, and how I would be a great fit for the Assistant’s role.
