· Designed experimental protocols to study the impact of partial and complete anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in a preclinical porcine model, through the mentorship of Dr. Matthew Fisher. Implemented quantitative MRI to evaluate tissue remodeling and degeneration and biomechanical testing with a six-degree-of-freedom force-sensing robotic testing system (Kuka KR210) to evaluate knee function. Resulted in two first-author publications and five conference proceedings to-date.· Developed an iterative finite element modeling (FEM) program in FEBio to simulate tissue growth from a biomechanical simulation. Resulted in one first-author publication and one conference proceeding.· Led a collaboration with a team composed of an orthopaedic surgeon, a veterinarian, scientists, and engineers to investigate the link between inflammation, changes in biomechanics, tissue remodeling, and osteoarthritis progression after ACL injury. Resulted in two first-author conference proceedings to-date.· Programmed processing pipelines to analyze imaging, mechanical, and FEM simulation data in MATLAB. · Awarded an NIH National Research Service Award Predoctoral Fellowship for proposed research and training plans, which provides funding over three years. Score was the 19th percentile.
