My current job is with Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority. I work with a team to make Computer Aided Dispatching (CAD), RMS (Report Management System) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) communicate together. My main role is to support GIS, Mobile CAD and Records in the Public Safety Department. I have been trained on ACT to make the proper adjustments in the Records Client. Recently, I have learned the Dispatching piece, working with the software CAD.I worked for Kent County Levy Court for 18 years using ESRI products…. ArcGIS Server, Portal, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Pro. We have a few extensions…. Workflow Manager, Spatial Analyst and Data Reviewer. Moving up the ladder to GIS Administrator. My job responsibilities were managing, coordinating, maintaining, and supervising. I hold many skills in the GIS Enterprise system, from the bases of editing to the highest-level of maintaining/managing the Enterprise system. One of the biggest accomplishments in my career is creating a customize JavaScript application for public online mapping. Below were just a few of my job requirements:1. I maintained Kent County’s ArcGIS Online organization account. We create story maps, web applications and other useful tools in ArcGIS Online.2. I maintained GIS Enterprise - geodatabases and sde database…. grant permission, compress and organize.3. Oversaw all GIS projects in the county. Public Works is working on modeling, collector and creating web applications. Public Safety uses heat maps through ArcGIS Online and Planning we us geoprocessing tools to determine proper planning.4. On a weekly basics I worked with the IT Department on server usage and troubleshooting if needed.5. I maintained python scripts that run a nightly basic. I had several basic python training classes with ESRI.6. Validating data is a top priority. As GIS Administrator, I ensured the data was validated. You have no base to GIS if you don’t have valid data!7. Georeferencing was a big part of my job in Public Works with using As built plans.8. Attended several weekly meetings to coordinate and establish the goals of the county, state and private agencies.Working with data makes me excited and ambitions! I want and will make a difference in this world by allowing GIS to be my tool!
