-A member of a small youth committee within the KZCF to give out grants from $50,000 to local non-profits that emphasize racial equity and youth leadership. -Elected as a vice president by advisory members for the upcoming 2024-2025 year.-In the 2022-2023 Grantmaking cycle, we gave out money ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to 19 different non-profit organizations within Kalamazoo County out of 40 applications. -Gained experience working with other members of the committee and meeting with real grantmakers within the KZCF. -Learned about racial equity and how to collaborate while debating on different grant proposals. -The YAC even partnered up with Care Collective of Southwest Michigan which is one of the organizations that received a grant from us before. We packaged diapers and feminine products for people who aren't able to receive them on a more frequent basis.

I interned at the Portage Public Schools administration building with the Community Relations Department being their first-ever high school intern. I could work on many projects and be a part of many opportunities in this role. - I was the chief editor for the district values video which premieres on the opening day celebrations for the teachers in the district. This video shows interviews with students and faculty all around the district to show how they interpret the values that the district wants to emphasize. - I was able to serve on the interview panel alongside the stakeholders in the school and the student body president to help provide feedback on choosing the new principal for my high school.- Gained experience in posting for the district's social media and taking pictures of events in the summer such as sports summer camps, summer learning, and construction projects before the school year.
