Caminar is a nonprofit community-based agency in San Mateo, Butte and Solano counties that provides outpatient services to individuals with serious mental illnesses. Work duties include: - Serving adults with co-occurring and severe mental health disorders. - Provide psychotherapy for independent, single adults ages 25-80.- Support the development and attainment of client rehabilitation goals, including securing of housing and employment, development of a support system, increasing socialization skills.- Assist with and teach activities of daily living.- Coordinate client treatment with all other members of the treatment team, including family members, psychiatrists, primary care physicians, social workers and therapists.- Facilitate and/or co-facilitate psycho-educational groups and recreational/social activities. Current groups include Art Therapy, Seeking Safety, Activities of Daily Living, Relationship Skills, Communication Skills and Family Support.- Ensure frequent contact/compliance related to documentation, Medi-Cal billable contacts, treatment plans and Annual Assessments are completed in a timely manner.- Provide Caminar with at least 80% of time directed toward client services daily.- Complete Medi-Cal billable contacts within 24 hours of service.- Oversea 19 clients with severe cognitive impairments and provide case management in a residential setting. - Operate 24 hour crisis and suicide emergency phone for the agency. Aid individuals and assess for suicidal ideation and harm to self or others. Other skills: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths Based Perspective, Seeking Safety, Harm Reduction and Wellness Recovery Action Plan.Knowledge in CA-LOCUS, PHQ-9, GAF and MORS measurements.
