My interests in journalism started in high school when I was appointed Design Editor of Chantilly High School's yearbook, The Odyssey. We won the national Pacemaker award in 2011 and 2012 and Best in Show in 2011, 2012, 2013. My spreads won a VHSL AAA 2013 award for design, writing, and photography and had two more spreads get honorable mentions. As a bonus, receiving these awards gave me the opportunity to travel to Minnesota, Kansas City, and San Francisco.
