My passion for design led me from a web development position to a UX design role at Watchtower. I actively leverage my technical skills and creative thinking throughout the design process. This includes conducting user research, analyzing requirements, and documenting user patterns. These insights are then transformed into user-centered solutions by creating interactive mockups and prototypes. Collaborative design sessions are utilized whenever possible. My experience with front-end frameworks allows for a strong collaboration with developers, ensuring my designs translate effectively into the final product.My work has had a positive impact on a translation workflow for content being translated into over 1,000 languages and encompassing workers in over 100 countries. It has also helped optimize a publication system managing hundreds of thousands of products. In addition to these endeavors, I am assisting with the development and expansion of the organization's design system, ensuring consistency and usability across dozens of products for various platforms and supporting the work of hundreds of users.

I led the design of an inventory tracking and rental system for a heavy-equipment rental company that greatly enhanced their operations. Delivered within five months, this user-focused solution not only increased efficiency and accuracy but also garnered enthusiastic feedback from users who praised its intuitiveness and ease of use. My impact extended beyond this project, providing valuable design improvements for an internal time management application and the company's design guidelines. Through close collaboration with developers, I ensured seamless implementation and addressed any concerns or challenges that arose.

My journey at CMU began with contributing to their public website and spearheading the implementation of a content management system. This laid the groundwork for my transition to designing and developing custom web applications for a significant user base that exceeded 20,000 students and included a large faculty/staff population. Understanding user needs remained paramount throughout this transition. I actively engaged in research and then crafted wireframes and interactive prototypes to translate those needs into tangible solutions. My work also encompassed implementing designs on front-end platforms, conducting user testing to ensure optimal experience and continuously making progressive enhancements. One notable project exemplifying this approach included a degree audit and advising system which assisted faculty, staff, and students in tracking academic progress and facilitating seamless guidance and advising. Another was an admissions application that merged seven separate forms into one cohesive, streamlined process for prospective students. This user-centric focus, combined with my technical expertise, allowed me to make a meaningful impact on the CMU community.
