I currently work as the Document Control Manager for Gatwick Airport Limited. I have worked at Gatwick for over 10 years now and still very much enjoy the working environment and challenges. I have worked in the Document Control Sector for almost 14 years and have experience across varying industries. I have managed a team of up to 10 document controllers in my current role and have worked within the Construction and Engineering Departments at Gatwick.My management skills are hands on and I enjoy the challenges of managing a diverse team with varying skill sets and abilities. I am dedicated to my job and take fulfilment in my teams achievements whether on an individual or group level. I always ensure any team I manage work effectively and efficiently for the benefit of the business. I am passionate about Document Control and this drives my aspiration to promote good practice within a business. I enjoy meeting and discussing issues face to face with colleagues and encourage my team to do the same wherever possible. My people skills have enabled me to form strong professional ties with my colleagues who can approach me for assistance whenever needed. I thoroughly enjoy being able to communicate with various individuals and departments across the business and being involved with workstreams that allow me to use my stakeholder engagement, presentation and communication skills wherever possible. I enjoy presenting training sessions and interacting with all Gatwick employees as well as external suppliers working at Gatwick. Being able to confidently communicate and interact with people is vitally important not just to my professional role but in my personal life as well. I pride myself in maintaining an approachable and personable character in all that I do and to everyone that I meet.
