As a Molecular Biologist at Provectus Algae, a fast-paced start-up company, I apply my expertise in molecular microbiology, genomics, and database construction to develop novel solutions for sustainable and scalable algae production. I have successfully designed and executed multiple experiments, analysed complex data, and communicated the results to diverse audiences, demonstrating my critical thinking and problem-solving skills in any given circumstance.I have a passion for genetics and disease, and a strong interest in working in the clinical setting to improve human health and decrease the burden of disease. I completed my PhD in Molecular Biology at University of the Sunshine Coast, where I investigated the molecular mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance, using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and next-generation sequencing. I have also published several peer-reviewed papers and presented at international conferences, showcasing my scientific writing and communication skills.
