Pacs Admininstrator
CurrentManages and administers the PACS Local Area Network (LAN) utilizing TCP/IP protocols. Manages the Wide Area Network (WAN) to ensure connectivity with external remote PACS sites such as (Peterson, FE Warren, Malmstrom, Vance, Laughlin, Altus, Columbus, Mt Home, Maxwell, Tinker) and future Teleradiology sites. Meets with Brook Army Medical Center (BAMC) and FT Carson (Evans) representatives to configure and maintain remote connections. Manages IMPAX Data Center to ensure western regional archive located at Travis AFB has redundancy/disaster recovery. Responsibilities include: schedule network backups and assign resources, resolve network-related issues (i.e., Ethernet connectivity, faulty cable or communication devices, etc.), resolve applications and system problems, merge unspecified exams, update physician lists, update new users, update location and procedure codes, review error logs, monitor system performance and system security. Monitors PACS performance levels and compliance with contract specifications based on qualitative and quantitative analysis of PACS system performance. Monitors the contract in order to analyze and interpret the statement of work to ensure contractor performs within scope and meets contract requirements. Manages the PACS Preventative Maintenance program. Effectively implements quality assurance initiates to ensure optimum system performance to include workstation integrity, image availability and image accountability. Oversees the integration, installation, upgrades and trouble call resolution of all PACS equipment within the entire Medical Center. Coordinates with the Medical Information Systems Office to obtain determined networking drops and new system requirements.
