Certified Parent Child Interaction Therapist, April 2021-PresentProvides PCIT in a telehealth model to provide caregivers strategies that will promote positive behaviors in children who have disruptive or externalizing behavior problems. Children in this model of care may meet criteria for a diagnosis that includes adjustment disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression and/or autism. Focuses on changing the behaviors of both the parent and child together. Teaches parents to model positive behaviors that children can learn from and are trained to act as “agents of change” for their children’s behavioral or emotional difficulties.

VHAN Network Behavioral Health Pediatric Partner, September 2019-PresentProvides case consultation on the Pediatric Behavioral Health consultation line in real time for VHAN pediatricians who need support in managing their patient’s behavioral health care. Tasks include support in development of a behavioral health care plan, assistance with level of care determinations, safety planning, navigation of resources and referrals as well as direct care coordination with families. Experience working closely with psychiatry to navigate medication consults as well as psychiatric evaluation when indicated. Responsible for coordination of quarterly behavioral health provider facing educational webinars as well as of family facing educational webinars. Maintains data collection from behavioral health consultations and analyzes data as needed to guide upcoming goals for the team. Currently serving as a field instructor for VPH interns which includes individual/group supervision as well as scoring of learning plan. Child/Adolescent Unit, LMSW, (July 2018- September 2019)Complete behavioral health diagnostic and psycho-social assessments utilizing the DSM-V, implement family and individual therapeutic interventions including crisis intervention, develops treatment plans and disposition plans. Maintains contact with family and community agencies and makes referrals for aftercare planning. Represents the behavioral health enterprise on institutional and community committees.

Clinical Supervisor, December 2016-July 2018Provide clinical case consultation and development to specialists, which includes weekly management of the group supervision process by direct case review, oversees the treatment planning process, case management and case progress. Attends case consultation and follows up on recommendations. Provides and coordinates quality training to specialists by having the ability to train on the treatment model and on other suggested trainings. Reviews and approves clinical and organizational documentation for the purpose of quality assurance and performance improvement. Specializes in diverting youth from out of home placements by helping their families safely maintain youth in their home environment. Experience working with referral behaviors that include problem sexual behavior, inappropriate sexual behavior, substance use, physical aggression and gang involvement. Experience completing TFCBT and ACRA models with youth. Responsibilities include knowledge of resources and making appropriate referrals when necessary for families as well as supervising a master’s level social work student.
