On leaving university in 2003 I applied for a 6 week summer placement role at AstraZeneca to gain industry experience within my qualified field, working in the Molecular Biology group within the Respiratory & Inflammation area. After the initial 6 weeks I was asked to stay on for a further 12 months on a temporary contract.I then applied for the graduate scheme and was recruited into the Pathways Capability within the Discovery Science group.Since joining AstraZeneca on a permanent contract in 2004, I have worked in various groups within Discovery Sciences. Pathways, Systems Biology, and for the last 5 years, Antibody Generation.
