I began my career in the tourism industry in Alice Springs, where I worked as a courtesy bus driver, a backpacker hostel receptionist and a tour guide. When I moved to Darwin, I worked in a couple of different hotels as a receptionist and then as an inbound travel consultant. I really enjoyed this role, it challenged me and I learnt a lot about the travel industry. These skills assisted me in setting up Sacred Earth Safaris with my husband in 2007. As well as leading tours, I also run our office, preparing itineraries and quotes, marketing (including social media and updating our website), taking reservations, accounts and the general day to day running of our business. Our business has grown from offering tours in the Top End and Kimberley regions, to offering touring through the Pilbara, the Red Centre, along the West Coast, throughout South Australia, including the Flinders Ranges, Outback SA, across the Nullarbor and recently, Tasmania as well as continuing to offer our core touring products in Kakadu and through the Kimberley. Or business constantly evolves as marketing trends change, customer expectations change and regulations and laws change. This keeps me on my toes and continues to challenge me, which I thrive on.
Listed skills include Tourism, Adventure Travel, Tour Operators, Leisure Travel, and 20 others.
