Establishing a team and discipline focusing on the patient experience across UCSF Health

Lead and develop UX Research as well as cross-team research efforts. Grew an early stage UXR practice and developed UX maturity throughout Bally Sports while enacting a strategic research roadmap.

Began by building the UX Research (UXR) discipline and department from scratch (e.g., set research standard, created short- and long-term processes for research strategy, report writing, hiring, professional development for researchers, etc.) before also managing the UX Design (UXD) team.My management style focuses on creating a positive, welcoming team culture while also fostering individual and team development.

As first in-house UX Researcher, I created all UX Research processes and standards from scratch. While leading both small and large scale research projects, I established a cross-research team coalition that bridged deep gaps in both knowledge and personnel. Helped to refocus product strategy by redefining the company's understanding of its users based on data, allowing for more intentional and informed choices for each user segment.

Managed entire digital research process (e.g., research design, implementation, analysis; report writing/presenting; product and business recommendations), focusing on collaboration and client consultation.

As Research Manager, I provided an empirical approach to market research across a variety of verticals. Performing both quantitative and qualitative research, I acted as a consultant for clients, discovering and distilling key consumer insights.

I provided necessary math tutoring and confidence building to traditionally underrepresented and underserved college students. The TRIO program as a whole focused on encouraging underrepresented students and providing the extra assistance these student might not have received elsewhere.

In this short-term position, I assisted in the promotion, event planning, and event evaluation of the pop-up makerspace (creative collaborative laboratory) event at the University of Glasgow. More specifically, I promoted the event and garnered additional participants. I also acquired trademarked products for use in the makerspace. The makerspace is an open, creative space where any University of Glasgow students, whether first year undergraduates or senior post-docs, can bring their ideas to fruition. The makerspace aims to establish interdisciplinary collaboration in addition to encouraging new, cutting edge approaches and ideas.

I focused on nonverbal communication and perception, but am also extremely interested in adult attachment theory and the overlap of these areas.

I taught labs and tutorials for first year psychology students and was responsible for all associated responsibilities, including some grading. Additionally, I tutored students in the statistical software R so that they better understand statistical methods and applications.

The Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition selects the most innovative researchers in the UK to present their findings at a week-long prestigious event. I worked the event as a member of the Face Lab.

I assisted in every aspect of research, including collecting data for various experiments by running participants and presenting our work at multiple international conferences.

Three separate professors personally requested me as a teacher's assistant for the courses of 1) History and Systems of Psychology, 2) Applied Behavior Analysis, and 3) Introduction to Psychology. In addition to tutoring, grading, and exam-writing responsibilities, I guest-lectured. I also held regular office hours so that students could receive one-on-one assistance if they so desired.

As a recipient of the prestigious Ann and Richard Summer Honors Research Fellowship, I independently established and executed research on the field of facial expressions. In addition to interviewing experts, I examined the field as a whole, including micro- and macro-expressions.

As an intern focusing on the area of social policy and improving students' lives and resources, I assisted on all aspects of lobbying, including participating in meetings on the Hill. Additionally, I acted as the Executive Assistant for the School Social Workers Association of America annual leadership conference. While I performed administrative, secretarial, and lobbying duties, my tasks would change from day to day.
