My work journey began after high school, working for Michael’s craft store. I was hired as a cashier but quickly worked my way up to becoming the store's bookkeeper within a year. A year later, I joined the United States Air Force because I had a dire need to experience the world and help others.Throughout my seven years of active duty and one year of reserve time in the Air Force as a Dental Assistant, I gained many valuable skills, including attention to detail, leadership, and camaraderie. Most importantly, I gained insight from people all over the world. I’ve always had a passion for people and a natural drive to spread joy. I noticed that two commonalities among humans that brought happiness and community were food and physical activity. Therefore, I set out to earn my Culinary degree and Personal Trainer certification.As I pursued my career in culinary and fitness, I felt fulfilled creating food that brought smiles and workout programs that brought sweat and success to others. However, as a single mom of two children, working late nights and long hours as a restaurant manager while building a fitness client base made family life quite challenging. So, I decided to return to my roots in dental assisting and create meal preps and workout plans for friends and family during my free time.Currently, I’m seeking an opportunity to grow and continue to experience the world while helping others, especially as I approach empty nester status. In the meantime, I will continue to gain knowledge from frequenting the local library, perseverance by hiking nearby mountain ranges, and a sense of community by volunteering my time to others.If you’re searching for an introvert who works extra hard, an empath who leads with heart, and a veteran mother with true grit to smooth over any problems, then you have found your dream employee.
