I am the Regional Coordinator for one of Conservation Volunteers' central Queensland offices, located in Mackay. My role is varied, but mostly involves managing 'on ground' teams of volunteers in practical conservation tasks. This includes liasing with project partners including local council, landcare groups and corporate organisations to ensure the best possible project outcomes, promoting the wonderful work of our volunteers and also of Conservation Volunteers as a national, not for profit organisation.Eco tours and special guest talks are also some of my favourite jobs as I enjoy communicating with others and especially the younger generation about Australia's unique wildlife and wilderness.
