ACHIEVA was founded in 1951 by a group of family members who all desired the same thing, to ensure their children with disabilities had the same chances in life that all children should be given. Their commitment helped to establish a nationwide movement that changed the long history of isolation and segregation for both children and adults with disabilities.As Director of Communications for ACHIEVA, I distribute valuable information to the public through strategic research and design. I know the details of press schedules and the importance of deadlines. I work with stakeholders on a daily basis to ensure the agency’s vision is being executed, both locally and nationally. I stay focused on what is current and follow the latest industry trends to stay competitive.
