An exciting new role designing and implementing a new Science rotation for all years (R - 6) and coaching the staff in STEM - working in leadership to encourage teachers to take on new challenges with their students and to explore cross-curricular teaching and learning and creative lesson planning.The role has included the development and implementation of a full-school Science specialist program for 17 classes designing all lessons and resources and covering all aspects of the Australian Science curriculum with exciting, engaging and unique teaching pedagogy. As STEM coordinator, I have worked closely with staff, leading them to a new understanding of STEM and how best to implement cross-curricular, integrated teaching practices in their classrooms via curriculum planning, staff professional development and provision of resources and project design.
