I edited Riposte, an independent magazine aiming to create change through creativity and community, for ten years. Across each print and digital edition, I commissioned and edited written and visual content from a team of global contributors. I developed key strategic partnerships with brands, charities and NGOs to create impactful content and projects, and I programmed cultural programmes and events with practitioners and studios across a range of disciplines. In addition, I managed budgets and project managed a range of projects with several stakeholders involved.

Alongside the Riposte editorial platform, I ran Riposte Studio, where I created creative comms and cultural programmes for global brands such as Nike, adidas, Uniqlo, Squarespace, COS, Levi’s and Toast, Rapha. These projects were designed to communicate specific brand messages to the Riposte audience in inspiring and engaging ways that resonated with our audience. I also curated exhibitions and bespoke programmes for organisations such as Amnesty International, Tate, Water Aid, Plan International and The People’s History Museum.

I worked across editorial projects for the main It's Nice That site, as well as commercial projects and pitches for branded partnerships.

As part of this freelance contract, I conducted a full review of all editorial output across the Friends of Friends platform and then devised a new editorial direction which would appeal to a more diverse and growing audience. I worked closely with the team to implement this new editorial direction which has been adopted and actioned across all new profiles, features and series.

Whilst in this role, I delivered lectures, seminars and workshops. I led students through D&AD New Blood projects and developed coursework and specific project briefs. I held one-to-one student surgeries and supervised students through dissertations, final major projects and end-of-year exhibitions. I marked all FMPs with the wider teams and was part of the final grade discussions.

Whilst at KK Outlet I curated the monthly exhibitions programme, events and talks. I was also responsible for PR and creative partnerships with brands and cultural partners. KK Outlet is a multi-functional communications agency, gallery and retail space. They host monthly exhibitions and event, stock design-led books and products and create communications for brands.
