Working for Follet for the University of Texas at El Paso bookstore had taught me to become a better cashier by handling money and giving out the correct amount of change to customers or make sure that their transactions were complete. Along with working at a university bookstore, I learned how to check in and out books for those who were renting them for the semester and make sure that all of the copies of the receipt were signed and either kept for financial aid or given back to the renter. The bookstore also had apparel and other items downstairs where I worked, so maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store was part of my duty and making sure that customers were finding everything okay or if they needed help with anything regarding what was on the floor. Often on Saturdays for big football events, catering to those who were tailgating and needing extra snacks or families coming to buy apparel for the big night.

At Michaels Arts & Crafts, I was required to be up front and help customers out in finishing their transactions. Along with it, I would also make sure that they had found everything okay and try my best to answer any questions they had about certain products such as Cricut makers or glues they couldn't decide on. When the front was dead or things were slow, I would help my co-workers on the floor by putting up items in their respected places while keeping an eye up front to make sure I didn't miss a customer who was waiting in line for too long. My other responsibility was to take out curbside orders or help someone who was trying to return or send a package out since we are a UPS access point.

As a biller, I was responsible for making sure payments were put in correctly into the different insurance portals, electronic and in person, and also make some phone calls to patients who had a balance that was unpaid. I also had to check and make sure cases were closed that included PI and VA cases.

At the university when I was not scheduled to examine students taking exams, I worked apart of the SAT/ESC center at UTEP as well in being a proctor.. I would be at home making phone calls to several students, future and current, by ensuring they would register for the upcoming semester or ask if they were going to attend the new student events UTEP held. I would make 25-30 calls and hour and have to report every response to their profile and close the case once I finished and continued. If I was scheduled for exam proctoring, I would arrive earlier than the students to speak with the professor to understand what the students were allowed to use, how many were expected to arrive, and any other things. Once that was done, me and two other proctors would begin setting up the room for test taking and get the students settled for their exam. During the exam, I would walk around and make sure no student was cheating or doing something they were not supposed to be doing. We also took COVID-19 precautions by wearing masks and face guards for those who were present and make sure to disinfect the chairs and tables after the exam concluded.

At Salata, I am responsible for greeting customers at specific stations and serving them the correct portion of either vegetables, dressings, extras, proteins, etc. Along with taking care of the portions and servings, myself and other members are supposed to offer other additions within the front line for customers to try and or sample. I also restock and clean the line stations by making sure the area around the food and dressing is clean and presentable to the public and also making sure the bottom coolers are cleaned and organized correctly. Along with working the front, often I ring up customers by making sure that they had a good experience and are all ready to go and be seated. Sometimes, I also am in the back washing dishes and making sure all is clean from the morning as dishes are not usually done and catching up is key to unsure a good and easy close for the night and an easy morning shift.

At Adventure Zone, I am responsible for ringing up customers at either the snack bar or at the attractions counter. Along with that, I also take care of filling drinks, re-stocking cups and utensils, handing food, or pouring liquor for customers who had purchased some. With also helping people out at the redemption or prize counter, I also take care of helping customers in getting their supplies for golf. I usually run the VR gaming headset as well and the Escape Room. At the end, I also take care of cleaning up after customers have left and for closing.

At the pharmacy, I would ring up the customers at the drive-thru window and made sure to give out the correct amount and make sure they signed their names when asked to.

For Golder, I would file their prescriptions from the week or day and made sure that they were organized from the date to how much was filed. I also stocked and filed in the back of the pharmacy to make room for more of the prescription boxes. I often had to lift heavy metal boxes to move them from one spot to the next.
