One thing I can say for sure: I am passionate about the practice of pharmacy. I am excited to start a new chapter in my pharmacy journey, and I am currently searching for a fully remote position either in medical communications or clinical pharmacy.There is so much joy and satisfaction in improving inpatient clinical outcomes, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, educating student pharmacists (and anyone else who will listen), and helping patients around the world find animal-free medications and supplements. I started my pharmacy career as an officer in the US Air Force, leading large, diverse teams in inpatient, outpatient, and clinical settings. Because of these experiences, I excel at strategic thinking, developing effective multi-disciplinary teams, and expanding clinical services. My diverse background includes a wealth of medical information experience where I have:-Responded to healthcare professional and patient medical information requests in a clear, concise, and timely manner-Evaluated patient safety reports for trends and implemented systems-based process improvements to prevent potential medication errors-Reviewed non-formulary requests against current formulary alternatives, primary evidence, and national formulary restrictions-Maintained pharmacy policies and procedures in compliance with FDA, USP, TJC, DHA, and other applicable regulatory agencies -Drafted multi-disciplinary, safety-centered, standard operating procedures based on current clinical guidelines, facility capabilities, and available resources -Created and delivered presentations on patient cases, literature summaries, new drug updates, and disease states to executives, physicians, nurses, support staff, and other medical center employees -Developed protocols for original research and presented to institutional review boards-Taught statistics and evaluated journal clubs for pharmacy students and residents In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, traveling, and anything that involves my dog, Whitney.
