I am responsible for making sure all 8th grade students apply and fill out the OneApp for high school. This includes planning meetings with parents to discuss the best high school options and how to get their child there and to plan field trips for 8th grade students to visit high schools and talk to teachers, principals, and students.

I am the lead teacher of the 8th grade special education classroom and am responsible for teaching ELA and Math content as well as planning curriculum for two students significantly behind grade level. I co-teach with the 8th grade general education Math and ELA teachers to provide inclusion support for students whose least restrictive environment was the general education classroom. I write all 8th grade Individual Education Planss and conduct the IEP meetings with parents, students, and other service providers. Lastly, I provide and advocatefor all accommodations and modifications that students need to access material and content.

As a New Media intern, I was responsible for creating content and managing questions for the Notre Dame Admissions Facebook, Instagram, and Tumblr pages. I also wrote blogs for prospective students about campus events and student life.

The Student Union Board (SUB) at Notre Dame is responsible for providing students with social, intellectual, and cultural events and opportunities that respond to the needs and wants of the student body. AnTostal is just one of the many groups that make up SUB. AnTostal is a week long event filled with activities, games, and food. As the Lead Programmer, I managed a $15,000 budget, led a student committee and delegated tasks to ensure deadlines were met, worked with university officials to get approval for events, designs, and vendors, and drafted contracts for speakers and performers.

As an intern, I was responsible for fact checking stories for upcoming editions of the magazine and read completed drafts of stories to check for spelling and spacing errors. I participated in weekly team meetings to discuss the progress of the edition and potential stories for the next edition. Lastly, I wrote stories that were featured in both the print editions and the online blogs.

Camp Sweeney is dedicated to serving children who have Type 1 Diabetes. Their program is to normalize campers into a world that is much different from what they experience in their daily lives. As a Counselor, and now Assistant Head Counselor, my job is to make sure the campers are testing at least five times a day, teaching them the symptoms of feeling low and high, and other procedures to show them how to properly manage their diabetes along with a healthy lifestyle. Beyond that, I am dedicated to making sure the campers are doing well both emotionally and physically. I offer them advice on how to deal with situations with parents or friends, and find them help if they are experiencing any type of abuse. My newest job this coming summer will be running one of the cabins. I will be the point of contact for the other counselors in my cabin and I will need to be available to answer questions immediately once they arise.

During my time at Bath and Body Works, I helped with the setup of all new products for each different seasonal theme. I improved the overall visual appearance of the store. I operated the cash register and aided customers with any questions or concerns and communicated with customers to help them identify the right products.
