I have approximately 6 years of Public Accounting experience in various industries, 4 years of tax experience with individual, partnership, and S corp tax returns, and now currently Corporate Financial Controller for the past 3 .5 years. Public Accounting experience includes being the lead senior for a local public company for the majority if my time with PwC. My tasks included external audit role responsible for the audit of quarterly and annual filings with the SEC, SOX compliance, and maintaining the everyday tasks as the hub for all communication between my clients and managers. I had the opportunity to be in charge of engagement teams with 5-8 team members and communicate with several different groups of internal specialists for valuation, ITGC's, and business combinations. I have experience with private companies, creating and reviewing financial statements and disclosures. I've created an entire SOX environment as well as created annual audit plans to maintain and cover all identified risks related to several different industries (however, specializing mainly in Retail and Transportation/Logistics)Tax experience also included being an Audit Manager with a local CPA firm where I was responsible for all audits which includes private companies in various industries, employee benefit plans, and several non-profit organizations. I was able to explore and broaden my experience by performing non-profit tax returns, business tax returns (S Corps, Partnerships) and individual tax returns using Ultra-Tax software and Drake.Current Controller experience includes managing approximately 7 full time staff, monthly close process of 5 legal entities, assisting CFO in budgeting process, monthly review of reconciliations, working across departments with other Directors implementing better business practices, processes and procedures. Work with 20 branches across the U.S, Canada, and Europe to assist in their monthly reporting and business issues.
