Responsible for processing all required applications to open childcare facilities and family daycare homes. Must measure and create floor plans to determine child capacity for facilities and conducting on site assessments and inspections to determine compliance with Florida Statutes and Standards. Gather and document all necessary documentation to create case records for compliance with licensure/re-licensure. Consult with department attorney to establish administrative actions/fines. Work in partnership with providers, and use various software to complete the required background Screenings and compliance. Implemented a file organization process spurring the development of quality review unit. Must update and maintain reports, complete re-licensure studies, and document, track and manage pending applications.

Partner to Case Management Supervisor and Program Director. Assist the Case Manager Supervisor and Program Director in the management of case management staff as well as completing full case management duties in accordance with Chapter 39 of the Florida State Statutes. Provide motivation, direction, and support in the supervision of Case Managers and unit support staff, work closely with clinical team, direct care staff and/or foster parent(s) to for effective treatment of clients. Serve as a continuous point of contact for child, family, foster parent(s), and other appropriate parties. Maintain & document confidential reports, make court appearances, compose a variety of legal documents for child safety and well-being. Perform full case management duties/services and maintain contact with all parties relevant for the well being of the child (ex. lawyers, doctors, judges, parents, and psychiatrist). Compose legal documents for the court/judge to establish permanency goals for all children in foster care. Provide on call crisis intervention services.

Counselor/Case Manager duties include performing counseling services and Parenting Skills Training Classes for at risk families, children, parent(s) and adult(s), complete psychosocial assessments, compose treatment plans, and accurately document and maintain confidential case files. In addition, counselors must conduct group and peer counseling at inner city schools, maintain constant communication with child welfare service providers, drug treatment centers, and the court systems related to the client. Referred clients to a Psychiatrist for treatment in which the counselor must assist with compliance
