Work with high-touch medications, such as those with a REMS component, and others that require extra attention to detail. I product verify medications and communicate with doctors, nurses, patients, and other pharmacies to ensure safe and effective medication delivery.

Assigned to clinical Jynarque (Otsuka) track in which I counsel patients on their new medication, answer MD and patient questions and concerns related to the medication, and also data verify the medication to ensure safe dispensing of medication. Have trained multiple pharmacists and technicians on my clinical track.

Worked in the inpatient pharmacy and sterile compounding lab, where I verified, checked, and dispensed medications for pediatric patients. I answered medication questions and concerns from doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff. I ensured timely and correct delivery of medications.

Gained pediatric medication experience through General Pediatrics, NICU, CVICU, Transplant, Heme-Onc, Emergency Department, and Research rotations. Participated in daily floor rounds with an interdisciplinary team, where I intervened on medication duplicates, dosage clarifications/questions, DDIs, and answered team questions and concerns. Also participated in other side projects, such as clinical pearls during our monthly pharmacist meetings, and presenting in Midyear and other conferences by presenting my research (under Allison Mruk, PharmD and Christopher Thomas, PharmD).

Worked in the hospital's main pharmacy filling medication orders sent from all areas of the hospital. Compounded, filled, and updated medications. Distributed medications to various floors, ensuring timely and correct medication deliveries.
