With the support of the Wize platform, I create online video and written lessons, practice questions and mock exams for undergraduate level biology courses across North America. In this role I act as an external resource for teaching at the undergraduate level through both live and on-demand education offerings.

Using my expertise in stem cell biology and CRISPR gene editing, I design and execute research and development and client-based projects to genetically engineer induced pluripotent stem cell lines with proprietary kill-switch and immune system evasion sequences, or client sequences of interest.These projects range in length from a few months to 1 year from project inception to delivering products to clients. Within these projects, best practices in laboratory safety, and molecular biology techniques are used.

As a SickKids Restracomp Post-doctoral award recipient, in the Stem Cell and Developmental Biology Program, I studied mitochondrial DNA defects and kidney development.In this role I isolated primary urine epithelial cells for reprogramming to induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), and used patient-derived iPSCs to develop kidney organoids to test the role of mtDNA genes and perturbations in metabolism on kidney cell differentiation and morphogenesis.This role required the design of experiments utilizing molecular biology techniques such as CRISPR, flow cytometry, RNA sequencing, SeaHorse, and other metabolic assays to answer kidney development questions.

Facilitated University Teaching Assistant training and developed online and in-person educational materials for university-level Teaching Assistants. Led project teams of 2-3 people to deliver online educational resources in teaching science concepts.

Awarded the Graduate Teaching Award in Biology for the 2020-2021 academic year. Led classroom discussions and guest lectured in 2nd, 3rd and 4th year biology classes from 20-120 students. Designed and scheduled tutorial projects for large 3rd-year level biology courses. Administered exams and coordinated a team of 4 junior Teaching Assistants in exam grading practices.
