I am currently employed as a permanent teacher at St Barbara’s Parish School in Roxby Downs, South Australia. I have worked in Reception/Foundation and Year 1, in both full time and teacher share positions. Having worked in a Catholic school and completing one of the four Catholic Education Strands of the graduate certificate in Religious Education, I am familiar with the expectations and importance of contributing to, and upholding the Catholic Ethos of the school. I enjoy the community and family support of working towards a common goal and am committed to providing my students with a positive example of Christian spirituality, through the teaching of Religious Education and supporting children’s development in parish life. During my time at St Barbara's I have demonstrated my enthusiasm towards my career and desire to achieve the best for my students. I have achieved this through being organized in my planning, classroom and school activities and events. I have worked collaboratively with other staff and community members to organize events, celebrations and to plan classroom activities. I have also continued to be self-reflective and aim for the best teaching practice to occur with the students I teach. Show less
