Front Desk
The Front Desk staff is responsible for greeting everyone who came thru the door, being the human switch bored for everyone and everything in the building. I handled a myriad of phone calls from, clients confirming payments, to the owner trying to scheduled time with the General Manager. Also as part of my personal responsibilities at Armstrong, I implemented policies and procedures related to customer services. I also handled most Customer Service calls on subjects as easy as how their experience is going, to more delicate situations such as past dues. I facilitated running and minting several repots such as inventory, delinquent accounts, and tracking members and the service provided to them.
Nanny
My main role as a private at home nanny for a toddler was to tend to the child’s safety and needs. On a regular day my duties would consist of preparation of all the child’s meals, maid service, and laundry for the family. In addition to the duties for the family I also provided educational activities including but not limited to foreign language, number skills, science, and healthy physical activity. I was also in charge of the child’s discipline and social events (ex. Skype days with her father).
Special Service Associate
I was responsible for ensuring that customer transactions are processed quickly and accurately. I interacted with Customers and Associates in the store, to ensure that excellent customer service was achieved. I worked at the Special Service desk answering customer questions (via telephone or in person), setting expectations, facilitating will call pick -ups and resolving any issues that arise. As an SSA I had the responsibility of providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting conditions to the Manager On Duty, and working safely as not to endanger themselves, co-workers, vendors, or customer
Cashier
As a cashier I needed to provide outstanding and quick checkout service to customers at our registers. I also had to have thorough knowledge of all policies, procedures and duties related to customer transactions. And I was expected to greet all Customers and maintain a safe and organized area to ensure the highest quality customer service experience.
Paint Associate
As a general Sales Associates I was expected to provide fast and friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. I also had to be knowledgeable in as many products sold in the store, especially with in my the paint department. For example the ability to identify and explain different types of paint, such as premium vs. economy, in addition to an in depth knowledge of paints, stains and other various products sold in the department (ex. caulks, glue, and stain), I also need to know how to explain and demonstrate faux and decorative finishes, as wells the many uses and differences of the various painters' tools ranging from complex paint sprayers to items as basic as tape. I also use and cared for various equipment and machinery to match and mix paint as well as multi-line phone, and walki-talkies. Furthermore as a Sales Associate I was also expected to know how to handle basics in adjacent departments (i.e. flooring, lighting, and seasonal). One of the most important task for any Home Depot Associate ensuring customer satisfaction by being able to help them with on only the immediate questions asked, but also to help them with the entire project they are undertaking such as recommendations of tinted primers or other equipment like tarps.
