Msc Thesis
During my masters assignment, I worked on redesigning the 3D stress foot plate to make it easy to produce, by providing open source drawings, fabrication techniques, off-the-shelf components and assembly instructions; and additionally by providing all documentation and testing to comply with the Medical Device Regulation. The results of this project provide an open source method to produce the 3D stress foot plate in an affordable way while being a safe medical device. In line with the open source starting point, the image processing of the acquired CT scans can also be processed with open source software (3D Slicer). This was demonstrated for a complex case of determining range of motion after ankle prosthesis replacement.
