As Head of Front-end Development some of my roles and responsibilities include:• Managing a team of four front-end developers across London and Brighton • Being accountable for daily code reviews to ensure all development work is of the highest quality• Having the responsibility for all front-end architecture decisions• Scoping all projects for both agile and waterfall methodologies• Maintaining a reusable CSS framework (developed by myself) with custom mixins used for all web builds, improving efficiency throughout the development process• Working closely with a cross-functional team, in particular the Head of Design and the Head of Back-end Development

As a Senior Front-end Developer at MBA (formerly Cubeworks), my focus was to create accessible, mobile-first experiences. I led all front-end projects whilst managing and reviewing all work from freelancers and my team members. Other roles and responsibilities included:• Working on a range of Angular projects; including a browser-based instant web meeting application and a ticketing and event management system • Consulting on front-end, UI and design best practices• Running and managing monthly front-end forums for all developers • Being responsible for front-end quotes and safeguarding estimates • Building email templates for various platforms including Pardot and Campaign Monitor • Gaining experience with multiple CMS’s including; EpiServer, Umbraco and Wordpress

At Cubeworks I worked closely with all members of the team, producing sites from concept to build ensuring both an accessible and beautiful user experience.Other roles and responsibilities included:• Producing web designs for a broad range of client work and pitches• Pioneering responsive design within the agency and being considered an agency expert on the approach• Contributing to our public and private blogs on a range of front-end and design topics• Helping to run a BIMA D-Day at a local school aimed at educating young people about careers in the digital industry

During a gap year, I spent 3 months working for a busy graphic design company in Western Australia. Primarily using a combination of Corel Draw, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop I produced a range of print work including posters, brochures, product labels, CD artwork and books as well as websites and banners for clients ranging from musicians to scientists.

I worked at BlueBox as part of an established team where I gained vital experience in both web design and front-end development. I designed, built and maintained a variety of websites for several clients including Jersey Overseas Aid and the Royal Yacht Hotel. I focused on the importance of complying with W3C standards and coding for multi-browser compatibility. In addition to the front-end, I would occasionally adapt the in-house ColdFusion based CMS to improve back-end functionality with CFML. Regularly using MySQL and FTP I was able to manage and maintain websites effectively.
