I live and work in Calgary/Mohkintsis/Treaty 7 Territory.I am in my final year of the Master of Counselling program at Athabasca University. After graduation, I will facilitate culturally responsive psychotherapy and develop culturally appropriate mental health treatments to help Métis women heal from intergenerational trauma.I am working on my master's thesis, which documents my lifelong journey of healing through Métis cultural reconnection. I am passionate about revitalizing Métis ways of knowing, living, and healing.

After a short three months of strategic planning, the program launched successfully with a team of 8 Peer Educators. In this role, I manage several projects, including Peer-facilitated Dialogues for MRU students with disabilities. Students with disabilities consistently rate their feelings of inclusion in the MRU community significantly lower than students without disabilities. By partnering with MRU Accessibility Services and the Peer-to-Peer Mental Health Educators, I launched this project to create a meaningfully inclusive space for students with mental illness to share their lived experiences and learn new methods of coping from their peers.
