As the Executive Director of Blue Line Arts/Arts & Business Council, Sacramento Region I was privileged to work in partnership with artists, arts groups and a professional board of directors. I worked to infuse multi-tiered collaboration to expand our deliver of arts education, high caliber art exhibitions, providing a bridge between the arts & businesses and strengthening our community creatively. Highlights include: • Organized a comprehensive strategic planning process for this non-profit and its new acquisition (ABC);• Reignited the regional arts & business council (Americans for the Arts affiliate),• Reignited the popular regional Arts & Business Awards Gala (dormant for 2 years after a 27 year history); • Founded the Gloria Burt Fellowship a $10,000 annual artist education residency grant• Orchestrated & lead a county wide alliance of arts organizations to further the creative economy.• Expanded art education artistic disciplines to instrumental music, dance, poetry and interactive art installations.
