Grant funded position for Drury University. As a Default Management Coordinator, my overall goal was to lower our student loan default rate for the university. In order to achieve this goal, I had to implement several new initiatives. I developed new ways of reaching out to students about financial literacy. Worked closely with both day and evening school students. Developed seminars and financial literacy courses that were taught to the Thayer and Cabool campuses in the spring semester of 2012. Incorporated a new Cash Course database into the university’s website to help students understand their finances. Through this position I was not only able to implement new procedures, but was able to reach out to students who may not fully understand the implications of defaulting on their student loans.

Worked on Excel spreadsheets, sent reminders to clients who advertised in our four publications, and wrote for all publications including online resource guides.
