• As the in-house Group Recruitment Manager I am responsible for the full recruitment cycle within Apex Hotels. The main tasks that fall within my role are:
• Managing and advertising vacancies for 7 properties
• Managing job board contracts for Edinburgh, London, Glasgow and Dundee
• Creating and developing job adverts, job descriptions and Person specifications for all vacancies

Working part-time in Jenners as a Sales assistant while studying an HR masters degree. I also took on the role of HR administrator outwith university term time to provide HR admin support to the team, as well as completing the payroll administration.

• Rresponsible for attracting, screening and interviewing candidates and then matching them to temporary vacancies. Worked closely with each client, through regular meetings and emails, to ensure their recruitment needs.

• On completion of my Marketing Degree I was asked to take on the full-time management position and help setup and run the new store in Edinburgh. Reporting to the Store Manager my role involved:
• Managing a team of 15 newly hired staff, to achieve daily, weekly and monthly targets.
• Managed the recruitment of 30 temporary Christmas staff whilst continuing to manage the shop floor activities.
• Devised a recruitment plan in line with training schedule, volumes of anticipated candidates, interviewer availability and interview duration.
• Constructed an interview form to standardise the interview process
• Screened circa 200 CVs, interviewed circa 6 applicants per day and offered the correct number of staff within a 6 week period.
