Philippines

As a Peace Corps education volunteer I worked within The Philippine Department of Education for their Alternative Learning System, which services out of school youth. In addition to providing classes to the 2,000 out of school youth in the municipality, our program also conducted several workshops, career fairs, and vocational training for current and former students. My duties included:Primary project: -English instruction -Teacher trainings -Curriculum buildingSecondary -Facilitating workshops and youth camps centered around reproductive health, disaster risk reduction, domestic violence, and gender. - Assessing and coordinating community based projects. Culminating in the construction of a public library funded and supported by the local government, the department of education, US Peace Corps, and several NGOs.

Santiago, Chile

I offered English instruction both privately and for several English institutes for non native speakers through out the city of Santiago, Chile. With private clients I was responsible for creating specialized English instruction and lesson planning. While working with Institutes my lessons were planned based on the company curriculum designed for their specific clientele.

Hospitality representative for food and beverage organizations through out the California Bay Area and Santiago, Chile. Beyond drink construction and service delivery, I was responsible for customer retention and satisfaction, as well as, minor accounting and staff management.

My primary goals as a VISTA were capacity building and community outreach. I worked closely with the executive staff on fundraising, internal organization, and community events.Highlights include-Generated and populated company wide SalesForce Database -Built company social media presence by creating editorial and video content, while doubling followers on key social media platforms. -Obtained over $30,000 in funds through grants writing and fundraising events.-Worked closely with development team to cultivate new donors and preserve relations with regular donors.
