CurrentManage creative and functional activities of design staff of five to develop over 100 new tabletop patterns, wire pantryware/organization and glass drinkware per year for $130 million division with major brands, including Pfaltzgraff and MikasaLead and execute brand-right and market-right design through design staff; direct designers with regards to pattern engineering and layoutEvaluate new art from licensed and non-licensed artists for suitability and placement within brands; Initiated the selection of the Kim Parker brand which increased our brand and floor presence at Macy's and other major retailers.Lead internal creative/art review meetings to ensure presentation of mass saleable, brand right trend and product concepts. Distribute approved pattern layouts to Category Managers for product samplingReview and assess samples with Category ManagersWork with Trend VP on future design vision, including product trend, style and innovation for design teams, category managers, senior management and key customersConduct comparative retail, internet and magazine research for trends, opportunities, and new ideas. Identify and translate external design trends to ensure product collections are brand-right, innovative, saleable and connect with buyers and our target consumer audienceInitiate and maintain licensing contracts and partnerships
