As a consultant, my tasks are project driven. I focus on making improvements to current Financial processes as well as analyzing and verifying data to help upper management make key decisions. I also assist with maintaining HR files and in the hiring process as needed.

With the Strategy Realisation Team at WVI, I had the opportunity to work with multiple programs within the organization. I provided support with the organization wide Continuous Improvement program, assisting with certification towards Lean Six Sigma Green Belts and Black Belts. I also helped with tracking the status of the Digit Innovation Team's progress. Along with those specific programmes, I assisted with other team logistics and support.

Generate and analyze weekly as well as monthly financial reports for the government (customer) and internally for the company. These reports contain project expenses versus funding available, estimated labor and travel expenses, as well as other key performance indicators. A wide range of support is provided to the Project Manager including monitoring accurate input and data, compiling monthly customer deliverables, forecasting expenses, and tracking revenue. Invoices are generated and reviewed for accuracy and then any questions or further details required by the customer are addressed.

Create and analyze a weekly financial report for the government that contains project expenses versus funding available. Validate actual expenses accounting invoices and then update the weekly report to reflect any differences. Provide a wide range of support to the Project Manager, manly in the form of ad hoc financial details and headcount analysis. Work closely with our accounting team as well as the project team regarding any and all things finance related.

Review and analyze monthly General Ledger and Cell Based Reports for specific departments and follow up with department managers when needed to establish variance explanations. Review, analyze, and track the budget versus the actual financial forecast for specified. Assist specific department leaders, all FP&A Managers, as well as Senior Leadership with various ad hoc financial reports as needed. Coordinate and interface with other GC departments and World Vision offices for all administrative tasks including meetings, travel, issue resolution, communications, etc.

As a Business Analyst I served as a conduit between the business units, technology teams, and support teams to create and clarify IT system specifications, requirements, and process flows. I also assisted in planning and implementing a global upgrade to the organization’s financial reporting system (SunSystems 6), mainly focusing on General Ledger and Procurement functionalities. My Project Administrator functions included looking into IT's current Asset Management systems as well as monitoring the project portfolio for the Business Services Team. In my role, I also assisted with quality analysis testing on an organization wide system, ensuring testing verifies business rules and requirements. Along with that, I worked directly with software developers to resolve any concerns and/or discrepancies in the IT systems.

My general office management duties include: reviewing monthly General Ledgers, processing expense reports and payment requisitions, creating and following PAFs through the P&C process flow, acting as overall liaison between Accounting, P&C, and IT departments ensuring policies and procedures are met. I also acted as an Executive assistant to the International CIO; my responsibilities include: maintaining and managing calendar and schedule, monitoring the flow of departmental communications, coordinating international travel, resolving discrepancies or other issues within and outside of the department. I would coordinate and prepare meeting logistics and materials for IT Managers and Executives nationally as well as internationally. On the finance side, I developed, prepared, analyzed and distributed monthly reports of the AT&T phone and WebEx teleconferencing charges as well as generating ad hoc report.
