I manage the Integrated Ecosystem Research Program (IERP) and Long-Term Monitoring Program for the North Pacific Research Board (NPRB). I actively pursue opportunities for collaboration, coordination, and funding partnership with other institutions that support marine science research in Alaska. I developed and implemented the $18.6 M Arctic IERP 2016-2021 (www.nprb.org/arctic-program) and managed the Gulf of Alaska IERP 2011-2018 (www.nprb.org/gulf-of-alaska-project). I have also managed several IERP synthesis projects.I serve on the U.S. Ocean Research Advisory Panel (ORAP), an advisory body to the U.S. Ocean Policy Committee.I also serve as a Co-Lead of the Marine Ecosystems Community of Practice for the U.S. Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee (2014-present).I actively work to support research that addresses the needs of Indigenous communities and strive to conduct research in partnership with tribes, tribal organizations, and Alaska Native co-management organizations.
