I grew up with a passion for video games that quickly blossomed into a love for technology as a whole. As I began my exploration of all things tech, I experimented with programming, C++ and Visual Basic, but found that programming and software were not my primary areas of interest. I then realized how rewarding it could be to play an active, hands-on role in troubleshooting, repairing, and providing further education to users to help them better understand how and why their technical problem occurred and how it was resolved.I am a member of Indy Women in Tech (IWiT), a scholarship and professional development program for female IT students and alumni at Ivy Tech. In January 2023, I graduated with honors and received my Associates Degree in IT Support. I continue to pursue my education, specifically in Cyber Security and Cloud Computing, by regularly taking online courses through resources such as Udemy Business. I am striving to grow in the industry and become an essential asset to those I work with. Outside of my professional career I play an active role in the tech community by acting as a board member of Central Nine Career Center’s IT Operations & Cyber Security Advisory Board. In addition, I participate as a guest speaker to the tech classes at Central Nine and Ivy Tech with the goal of providing a fresh perspective of what starting an IT career can be like as a woman, and as a young professional.
