Danielle Forward is the CEO & Co-Founder of Natives Rising, a Native women-led 501c3 non-profit organization that economically empowers Indigenous people through tech careers and entrepreneurship. She has been featured in Forbes, Entrepreneur and TechCrunch, and has spoken on diversity in tech at Meta, Netflix, and United Airlines. Previously, Danielle was a Product Designer at Facebook for almost 5 years, designing software for millions of users globally. Before Facebook, she graduated as valedictorian with a BFA in Interaction Design from California College of the Arts in 2017. Since founding Natives Rising as her college thesis, Danielle has grown it into the largest community for Indigenous professionals in tech in the US and a national nonprofit, raising over $2 million dollars within the first two years of incorporation to advance the state of economic opportunities for Indigenous people in the US.Danielle is a board member for MuralNet, a non-profit that improves internet access for Native Americans in rural areas, and a trained life coach who incorporates emotional health & wellbeing support into Natives Rising’s programs for holistic empowerment.Danielle is Makahmo Pomo from Santa Rosa, CA, and an enrolled tribal member of the Cloverdale Rancheria of Pomo Indians.
