As a passionate development professional, I am dedicated to taking concrete steps to achieving a positive and sustainable impact, while searching for and addressing the heart of an issue. I am driven by my passions for environmental justice, gender equity and youth empowerment, and have a curiosity for the intersection between these issues. I believe in the importance of collaboration and representation in development work, and I am dedicated to ensuring diversity, justice and inclusivity in my career. I hold a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, majoring in International development, with a minor in Sociology and Diploma in Environmental Assessment. Since graduating, I have worked with the United Nations Environment Program, at the Convention on Biological Diversity. At the Convention, my work focused on the application of the Sustainable Development Goals to the biodiversity conservation frameworks, biodiversity mainstreaming through environmental policy, and gender inclusion in the management of biodiversity.I am an experienced facilitator with five years of experience delivering workshops in the areas of social justice and leadership to children aged 3-5, youth aged 12 to 18, and university students.I have a deep care for people, both in my personal and professional life, and bring positivity into everything I do. I am adventurous, and love to travel, explore nature, and learn about new cultures.
