Originally from Dallas, Texas, I recently moved back to my home state from Tucson, Arizona after working on a successful city council campaign. The candidate, longtime environmental activist Kevin Dahl, won the election by 30 percentage points with his climate change agenda. Outside of political campaigns, I have used my skills gained from a ten-year career in marketing to create marketing strategies and written, visual and social communications for a variety of fields, including higher education, secondhand fashion and environmental nonprofits. As a Biodiversity Ambassador for Defenders of Wildlife, I advocated for wildlife and wild places by lobbying, contacting representatives, writing letters to the editor and more. As a Spring 2021 University Climate Change Coalition Fellow for The University of Arizona, I conducted research to develop a storytelling communications plan and media strategy for a local nonprofit to engage stakeholders in the conservation of historic ranchland that includes critical groundwater, Indigenous histories and wildlife habitat that supports endangered species like jaguar, ocelot and yellow-billed cuckoo. Outside of work, I volunteer on ecological restoration projects and enjoy hiking, camping, birdwatching and cycling.Specialties include community organizing, political advocacy, written and visual communications, email and social media marketing, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and project management.
